    Lasagna Love

    Unclaimed

    33 hours 48 minutes

    average wait time

    Info

Lasagna Love feeds families, spreads kindness and strengthens community. Sign up online & get matched to a volunteer in your community who will deliver a free home-cooked lasagna. Fulfillment time depends on where you live – it can take several weeks to receive food. Enter your zip code here to see the expected wait time: https://lasagnalove.org/zip-code/

We do not have any qualifications to receive a meal. We understand that need comes in many forms and they are not always financial. Our core values are to feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities. You can visit us at https://www.lasagnalove.org/ to see more about how the process works. I've also attached a couple of resources that provide information about Lasagna Love.

You may have times where you know of families in need. You can share the attached flyer with families, and you can also nominate families by going to https://www.lasagnalove.org/nominate/. Once a nomination has been made, Lasagna Love sends the nominated family a text with a link to sign up. It is up to the family to decide if they would like to send in their request for a meal. This allows us to verify any food allergy or dietary needs with the family. They will then be contacted directly by a volunteer once they are matched!

Every location is different! Some places in Chinatown accept appointments, some require it, and others allow walk-ins. Please review all details on the resource page to understand how you should prepare for your visit.

  16. What kind of food do they have?

Food pantries offer grocery-style items such as canned food, fresh produce, and dry goods like pasta or rice that you can cook yourself. Soup kitchens offer ready-to-eat items like hot meals or sandwiches. All of these locations may have different options on different days, so it is hard to tell what each one of them will offer any given day.

  17. Do they have vegetables?

Pantries may have different options at different times, so it is hard to tell what each one of them will offer any given day. Most pantries in Chinatown do give out some form of vegetables, but they may be canned items.

  18. Do they have meat?

Pantries may have different options on different days, so it’s hard to tell what each one of them will offer any given day.

  19. Any pantries open today?

If you’ve signed up for personalized assistance through our text message helpline, please take a look at the links we’ve sent you! If none of the resources we’ve sent are open today, let us know and we can search for additional options. Here’s a list of everything in Chinatown that’s open today: The Bowery Mission, Chinatown Community Fridge & Pantry

  20. Where are you located?

Because our work is mostly virtual, the Lemontree team works remotely, and we don’t have an office in Chinatown for in-person visits. You can always reach us by texting 90847 between 10am-6pm, every day of the week.
