The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) issues electronic benefits that can be used like cash to purchase food. To register for grocery delivery; must be 60 years or older. Must send proof of age by email; instructions will be given via phone. Once you register, you will receive weekly deliveries. Available in English & Spanish. Turnaround time is 1-3 days, and they cover Northeastern Queens.

Please note that the Commonpoint Queens Food Pantries will be closed from June 22-July 4, reopening on July 5.

Our model is taking individual requests from residents of our covered area (roughly Boerum Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill) for groceries, baby supplies, and cleaning/household supplies.

We can shop and deliver, put in an order for the person to pick up at Target, or if they're able to shop for themselves, we can either reimburse them or have one of our volunteers meet them at the store to pay at the register.

Will provide one hot meal and one cold pack to senior clients. Meals include Kosher, non-Kosher and Korean cuisine.

Register online for low-cost & free grocery boxes for pickup or delivery (in most of Queens), though the free option has a waiting list (~3 months). Once you're on the free option, you will receive weekly deliveries. Eligibility for the free option: unemployed due to pandemic & those who do not qualify for traditional forms of gov't aid. The low-cost boxes are pay-what-you-can weekly subscription from $25-$45 (no questions asked), and you may pause or cancel at any time. All boxes include 25-30 lbs of fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains. Delivery is $6; pickup is $2.
